What is PlanWithPals?

PlanWithPals is a private trip planner for friend groups. It gives your group one place to vote on trip ideas, build the itinerary together, and track who is coming and who has paid, instead of scrolling back through a group chat.

How do I invite my friends to a group?

Create a group and you get a shareable invite link. Send it through WhatsApp, iMessage, email or wherever your group already talks. Friends open the link and join with a free account.

Is PlanWithPals free?

Yes, PlanWithPals is free to get started. Create a group, invite your friends, and start planning. No credit card required.

Does PlanWithPals work for large groups?

Yes. Voting, the shared itinerary and the attendance and payment tracker work for a group of four and for a group of twenty or more.

Can I use PlanWithPals on my phone?

Yes. PlanWithPals runs in the browser on your phone, tablet or laptop, with nothing to download. Everyone sees the same group plan on every device.

Does PlanWithPals take payments or book the trip?

No. You and your friends pay each other and book things the way you normally would. PlanWithPals lets you mark who has paid so the organizer is not keeping that list in their head.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PlanWithPals (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. “PlanWithPals”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to the operators of planwithpals.com.

2. Description of Service

PlanWithPals is a group trip and event planning platform that allows users to:

Create and join groups for planning trips and events
Submit and vote on trip ideas and destinations
Build and share itineraries
Track shared expenses and cost splitting
Coordinate attendance and RSVPs

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

3. Accounts

To use most features of PlanWithPals, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
Take responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
Share content that infringes any intellectual property rights
Distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems
Scrape or harvest data from the Service without permission
Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written consent

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create on PlanWithPals (trip ideas, itineraries, comments, etc.). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and share that content as necessary to operate the Service — for example, showing your itinerary to other members of your group.

You are responsible for the content you post. We do not endorse any user content and are not liable for content posted by users.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful or inappropriate.

6. Groups and Invitations

When you create a group on PlanWithPals, you become the group administrator. As administrator, you are responsible for managing group membership and the content posted within the group.

When you share an invitation link, anyone with that link may join your group. You should only share invitation links with people you intend to include in your group.

7. Intellectual Property

The PlanWithPals platform, including its design, logo, software, and content (excluding user content), is owned by PlanWithPals and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without our express written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

PlanWithPals is a planning and coordination tool. We are not responsible for the actual trips, events, or experiences you plan using the Service. Any travel arrangements, bookings, or financial agreements you make as a result of using the Service are solely between you and the relevant third parties.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PlanWithPals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we determine that you have violated these Terms, without prior notice or liability.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the platform or sending an email to your registered address. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
